Department of Physics, Panjab University is organizing a four days National School-cum-Workshop in Accelerator Physics during 15–18 March 2016. The school is mainly meant for Ph.D. students of high-energy physics, nuclear physics, material science, condensed-matter physics, chemistry, bio-physics, forensic science, etc. The school is also suitable for young lecturers from colleges who are interested in accelerator based science. In the school there will be experts both from accelerator physics and also few experts from accelerator based science. The present school/workshop will mainly address what is accelerator physics and gives the participants an overall knowledge about accelerator based science. In the afternoon session there will be demonstration at Cyclotron, XRF and material science laboratories of physics department and also there are special sessions for Computer simulation on accelerator physics and accelerator based material science.

For participation you may fill up the attached form and send the soft copy of the form to Dr. B.R. Behera (bivash@pu.ac.in). Total no. of 35 participants will be accepted. Out station participants will be provided train fare limited to sleeper class and their local hospitality will be take care. The details of the programme and schedule will be available soon. The last date of application is 01-03-2016.
