SERC schools in theoretical high-energy physics are organised every year nationally. The aim is to provide an overview on different topics in high-energy physics to the Ph.D. students in their early years of research. Each school has pedagogical lectures on selected topics supported by rigorous tutorial sessions.

XXV SERC THEP Main School in this series is being organised by the Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh during 2 - 22 April 2010.

This year, we have four courses on topics of current interest:

  1. Perturbative QCD
    Lecturer: Rahul Basu (IMSc, Chennai)
Guest Faculty: A. Misra (Mumbai)/D. Choudhury (Delhi)
  2. GUTs: Flavour Physics and Leptogenesis
    Lecturer: Goran Senjanovic (ICTP, Trieste)
Guest Faculty: Borut Bajc (Institut Jozef Stefan, Ljubljana)
  3. SM Higgs and Top Physics at LHC
    Lecturer: Saurabh Rindani (PRL, Ahmedabad)
Guest Faculty: Dilip Kumar Ghosh (IACS, Kolkata)
  4. AdS/CFT and Hydrodynamics
    Lecturer: Shiraz Minwalla (TIFR, Mumbai)
Guest Faculty: R. Loganayagam (TIFR, Mumbai)

Please check the programme for details of courses. Last date for receiving the application is November 10, 2009; details are given on the registration page.
