About the speaker: Prof. Amit Roy did his M. Sc. from Delhi University, Ph.D. from TIFR, Mumbai, he was a post-doctoral fellow at Florida State university, USA and served as faculty member at TIFR, Mumbai. Later he joined Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi (Formerly Nuclear Science Centre, New Delhi) and led the superconducting LINAC accelerator project of IUAC. Under his leadership IUAC LINAC project was finished. He also served as Director of IUAC, New Delhi for more than 12 years. His expertises are experimental Nuclear Physics and Accelerator Physics.
